“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”
~ Buckminster Fuller
I decided to stop talking about the old model.
Instead, just to focus on better ways of understanding, easing and transforming chronic and persistent pain.
To inspire positive change and growth.
Inspired in turn by Mike Pegg.
Pain Coaching has always been a positive approach and way of being.
A focus on the person, your strengths, capabilities (e.g./ to learn and grow and thrive), aims, hopes and dreams.
And the practical steps to get there.
It is tempting to go on about the old model and it’s deficiencies.
But this puts the energy in the wrong place.
I can choose to moan about the old model, or give meaning to much better models.
“The best way to complain is to make things better.”
~ Seth Godin
The latter it is: much better models and making things better.
To share insights, skills and practical tools to help.
Pain Coaching and this daily blog Pain Talking are about helping.
